Match my Denim

Question:

I bought some really cool grey (with white) pinstriped pants (denim) but I haven't a clue as to what type of shirt to wear with them?

Response:

Denim always looks great with a Tshirt. If you want something a little more chic, wear a sport shirt in black with a design other than a pin stripe.

DOWN FACTS...

Down is the layer of fine 3-dimensional undercoating (clusters) found under the tougher exterior feathers of geese, ducks and other waterfowl. Feathers are 2-dimensional, flat quills with fibres that cover birds.

Down is known for :

resiliency - when compressed it will return to its original consistency,

longevity - it can function for many decades when properly washed or dry cleaned,

breathability - allows water vapor, e.g. perspiration, to pass through without letting warmth escape,

lightness - less down is needed to provide warmth than any other material due to the cluster effect.

Every cubic inch of down has around 2 million fluffy filaments that interlock to form a protective layer to keep heat in and cold out. Down traps small pockets of air to efficiently create an effective thermal barrier.

FILL or LOFT is the number of cubic inches one ounce of down will fill under specific conditions such as temperature and humidity. The average consumer down item contains 400 cubic inches, often including feathers. Canada Goose parkas contain 550 cubic inches of high quality, mature, multi-clustered 100% down fill with absolutely no feathers.

Store down products in a loose breathable bag in a dry, well ventilated area, and do not compress for long periods of time.

Checks and Stripes

Question:
Does a small, light colored, checkered shirt fit with a pin-striped suit?

Reply:
You can mix patterns effectively if you follow the golden rule - vary the sizes of the patterns. Coordinate a narrow stripe with a large check and vice versa. Varying the size of the patterns will be visually appealing whereas mixing the same size patterns will give the combination a busy look.
