Ventless-Side vents-middle vent?

Do vents imply quality, better suits have side vents or is it just style preference?

Any help will be sincerely appreciated.

Vents are a function of personal style and the fashion of the day. The presence of vents do not in way reflect on the quality of a suit or sports coat. Today center vents and side vents are both fashionable and very safe to wear. Non vented jackets are also fine.

Should you purchase a vented jacket and you later decide that you would like the vent(s) to disappear any qualified tailor will be able to accommodate you. The reverse, making vents appear where none exist, cannot be properly done.
